Herding Cats white blend |
Name: Herding Cats
Variety: 80% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay
Region: Western Cape
Country: South Africa
Year: N/A
Price: $14.00
Winery review: Looking for a wine that all your finicky friends will love. In this lovely wine, we have herded together the ever-so-popular Chenin Blanc with ever-so-flavorful South African Chardonnay to achieve an aromatic white with hints of green apple, bright citrus and crisp, clean finish. This versatile wine pairs well with pasta tossed in fresh pesto, grilled jumbo shrimp with mango chutney or simply as an aperitif. - Wegmans
My review: This wine smelled sweet, like cake, but tasted buttery and unoaked with hints of apricot. This non-vintage blend was okay, but not one of my favorites.
