Tasting - Honoro Vera Garnacha

Honoro Vera Garnacha
Name: Honoro Vera
Variety: Grenache
Region: Calatayud
Country: Spain
Year: 2012
Price: $10.99

Winery review: The Honoro Vera Garnacha is a ripe cherry color. It has an intense nose with dominating notes of red ripe fruits, such as raspberry and red currant, balsamic sensations and mineral aromas. It is a fruity wine, very fresh and easy to drink.

My review: The nose of this wine smelled like fig, all spice, blackberries, leather, and tobacco whereas it tasted like strawberry jam, cloves, and a hint of floral. This wine was not very acidic and was slightly gritty and spicy on the finish. This wine was very unique, as unique as the label, and was delish.
