Tasting - Chateau Du Bousquet

Chateau Du Bousquet Bordeaux Red
Name: Chateau Du Bousquet
Variety: 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec
Region: Cotes de Bourg, Boredeaux
Country: France
Year: 2009
Price: $13.99

Winery review: Deeply-coloured with ruby highlights. Enticing nose of ripe red fruits enhanced by subtle oak. Supple palate with a fine-grained texture displaying good balance. A pleasant wine with real accessibility drinking well with barbecued foods. - Gilbert & Gaillard

My review: This wine tasted slightly peppery with hints of raspberries, blackberries, and fig. It also had a slightly vegetal taste with hints of asparagus which offset its bouquet of roses, honey, and cloves. This wine was delectable and paired will with summer roll and spicy Pad Thai, which increased the pepper on the finish.
