Tasting - Magistrate Cabernet Sauvignon

Magistrate Cabernet Sauvignon
Name: Magistrate
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Alexander Valley, California
Country: USA
Year: 2010
Price: $13.00

Winery review: "Here’s a sound, everyday Cabernet. It’s dry and full-bodied, with some good blackberry, raisin and oak flavors. A nice buy for the price." 84 Points - Wine Enthusiast

My review: This wine smelled of fig and blueberries and tasted of blackberries and black cherry. It finished strong and rounded with flavors of black pepper and tannins with a good body throughout. It pared well with a cheese plate and  an Alfredo based pasta dish. Absolutely phenomenal!
